Teacher morale in Florida is dismal. Teachers are trying to stay motivated, but the new assessment and all the other pressures are too much for the underpaid and over-assessed (held to a higher standard than most other professionals) who give hours and hours AND monies of their own to have a successful classroom(s). Thank you for the inspiration!

Thanks dad! I can't believe I've been over here for over a month!! It seems like just yesterday we were at the airport.
Now, to make use of all of your resources, and see if there is anything I can use for Kindergarten.

Brian did an outstanding job (as usual I might add). Brian was well organized, passed out very useful handouts and related well with the group with examples from both his classroom teaching days and experiences as a TRT. The presentation was excellent and introduced the group to Prezi'z online presentation creator, which I plan to use to learn to enhance my library lessons (especially uploading Power Point Presentations to liven them up). The list of resources he introduced to the class was impressive and gave me so wonderful ideas on teaching biographies using Tagxedo, spelling/vocabulary words using Wordle (forgotten all about that little gem) and using the voice recorders in movie maker. I left witha smile knowing that I have all summer long to play with those wonderful toys. Great job MR. McKEE

Brian demonstrate many valuable techniques for lesson plans and ideas. Some of the ideas that I will use this fall will be the using the different websites for centers. Students will create a variety of projects using the websites and technology equipment to provide excitable lesson.
Today, I enjoyed making the magazine and movie. I will use Wordle for vocabulary and many more.

As a reading specialist, I will share the websites with new teachers as a way of inspiring them to sign up for Tech Tuesdays. I will use the presi.com for presentations for training reading teachers in my building, test taking strategies, and testing training. The website for Blooms Taxonomy will be useful. I'll encourage students use of Wordle to introduce themselves and tell about their interest. Let's cut the paper and pencil out. Dr. Okoye has introduced alot of the technology to Victory Staff, but we can't see and practice with it enough. I'll take baby steps, but I assure you, I will rise up to the new age. No more absolete. In time all of the information gained today will be used. Now I'm sorry that I missed Tuesday and Wednesday's presentation. T
