Star Testing Reports
Posted in Accelerated Reader on September 18, 2007 by lisabaunHere are the instructions from Ms. Thomas concerning the retrieval of information from student Star Tests:
To view reports from STAR testing:
Go onto Internet Explorer
Under Favorites, choose Renaissance Place
Log in as teacher
Scroll down to STAR Reading
Click on Reports
Click on Summary
Choose your class from the drop down menu
Click on View Report
When the report comes up on the screen, click on the Adobe icon printer button
This will print a report of your entire class at a glance. You will see the GE (Grade Equivalent score) and the ZPD. The ZPD is the zone for Accelerated Reader books. Start the students at the bottom of the range. I usually give them a .5 range (for example 3.0 – 3.5 or 2.7 – 3.1). Monitor the AR tests and move them up or down accordingly.
If you want to see an individual student’s report, you will click on Diagnostic instead of Summary.
Then you will click on See Individual Student. A list of all students in the school will appear. Check the box/boxes of the students that you wish to print. Then click Save, View Report, and print from the Adobe icon printer button. The individual student report will have some helpful reading information for you about Accelerated Reader strategies.
