Brian McKee (TRT at John Tyler) sent me this link to a Suffolk SS blog.  There are activities for grades K-5.  (5th grade teaches USI in Suffolk, so 6th grade teachers check there.)  The blog also has a link to the author’s portaportal, which contains links for each grade level, by subject.  Hope you find something useful!

I have added the link to the 4th grade refrigerator cards to the blog (under the VA Studies page) as well as to the portaportal.  On the portaportal, there is a link to the cards under “Student Links” as well as “Teacher Links.”

I’ve updated the portaportal today, and added a few links under each grade level.  I’ve marked all the additions “New.”  There are some great lesson plans and review activities.

I leave for Korea in one week!  I’m still waiting on travel information but that will hopefully arrive any day now.  I’ve gotten to talk to several people who will also be going, and it seems like we will have a great group.  I’ve already gotten one question to ask while I’m gone (see the comment on the previous post) and I would love to have some more!  If there’s anything you’re interested in knowing just let me (or Sarah) know and we’ll do our best to find out.

Enjoy your summer!

I’ve added a couple of new links to the 4th grade section of the portaportal. Sarah found links for study guides and study cards, which I added to both the Teacher and Student links.
