The December lead teacher meeting will be Monday, December 15th at John Tyler Elementary at 4:15pm.  We’ll be in the large conference room.

We have a File Folder Games Workshop for grades K-4 next Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 4:15 in the John Tyler Elementary library. 

Please RSVP to Mrs. West as soon as possible and let her know that you are attending.  Please include your grade level in your RSVP.  (393-8555 or mary.west@pps.k12.va.us)  We will have materials for your specific grade level.  If we do not know you will be attending, or if we do not know your grade level, we will not have materials for you!

There will be an Alternative Assessment workshop for 3rd and 4th grade teachers on Tuesday, October 28th at 4:15 in the John Tyler library.  Please RSVP to Mrs. West if you plan to attend at 393-8555 or mary.west@pps.k12.va.us.

Our next lead teacher meeting will be Monday, October 20th at 4:15 in the John Tyler Elementary conference room.

There will be a 6th grade workshop on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 4:15 in the John Tyler Elementary library.  We will discuss the “What I need to know to pass the US History to 1877″ resource book, which was recently purchased by the Social Studies department.

The workshop will be a quick overview of the book.  You will NOT receive materials unless you attend the workshop.  Please RSVP to Mrs. West at mary.west@pps.k12.va.us or 393-8555 as soon as possible.

The September lead teacher meeting will be held on Monday, September 15 at 4:00.  It will be in the conference room at John Tyler Elementary.

Sarah and I will have a new teacher in-service tomorrow afternoon, September 9, at 4:15 in the library at John Tyler Elementary.  If you are new to teaching or new to Social Studies we hope to see you there!

Sarah and I will have a summer in-service tomorrow afternoon, August 12th, from 1-3pm.  The location has moved from the IRC Conference room to the John Tyler library.  See you then!
