Ready, Set, Teach is a session at TEACH Academy designed to help teachers get a head start on the next school year! Participants explore and use various resources, web 2.0 tools, and templates that will take them to the head of the class. Participants have the opportunity to create personalized classroom expectations, motivational posters, open house presentations, award certificates, class newsletters, instructional activities for the core content areas and much more! I am happy to have the summer to surf the internet and find super sites to add to my portaportal. I loved the templates in the educationworld.com site!!
What a treasure trove of opportunities! I was able to start a few folders containing powerpoints, activities, lesson plans, certificates and more to begin the new year!

I’m thinking about using portaportal this year. I already have an account but never got the chance to use it. I like that the students will be able to use it at home as another source of learning.
I also loved the abcya website. I think the students will love it as much as I did!
There were so many things available it is hard to focus on just one. I will definitely use the templates for letters to parents.
Very informative and enjoyable. I feel that I have more tools than I will ever use to get off to a good start each year!
I thought that the resources are very helpful and will llow the teachers to work smarter and not harder. I was very impress with the templates. Along with the newpaper paper. There are so many things that I was exposed to that I will have alot to go back and review over the summer. I plan to start using some on the activities this summer in summer school. Right on time!
I plan on using the following sites/tools in the fall:
visuwords-Introduce vocabulary
atomic learning-To help me create
portaportal-To monitor where students are going
I gathered a great ‘Game Show” style powerpoint that I can just plug questions into. Other great powerpoints that are ready to use- started my year “handbook” slideshow.
Loved: thinkfinity. Has some great lesson plans I can use
Bigugelabs, wordle, visuword, freeplaymusic, rubistar all great sites that I plan to use
Created 2 rubistar documents already.
