I, too, feel that a new skill set is being introduced when students are allowed to blog. Not only can one get to choose whose blog to read, but one also has to comprehend what is being said and to respond with either a contradiction of the blogger's main idea or an agreement with the idea. The blogger can also include why he or she feels or thinks the way he or she does and can add new information which then generates continuous "dialogue" between several persons.
