The Intel Education Initiative provides a little Q&A for us: http://www.intel.com/education/newtotech/managing.htm

Recognizing that theory is great, but that we do need some practical suggestions, I suggest we take a look at what the folks at Kennesaw State University in Georgia are teaching: http://edtech.kennesaw.edu/intech/classroommanagementstragies.htm as well as what the Instructional Technology Coaches in Christina, Delaware have put together: http://www.christina.k12.de.us/techlearn/staffdevel/one-comp-class2.htm

The Centre for Distance Learning and Innovation in Canada makes some good suggestions on several topics:

ICT integration in the once computer classroom: http://www.cdli.ca/~jscaplen/integration/english/toceng.html

Making your students more independent: http://www.cdli.ca/~jscaplen/integration/english/independent.html

Using Task Cards: http://www.cdli.ca/~jscaplen/integration/english/Appe.html

You may also want to take a look at a list compiled by some Australian teachers : http://www.schools.net.au/edu/education/resources/managing_classrooms_full.html

Is management going to be easy or difficult? Will the results be worth the additional work up front? Did any of the ideas appeal to you?
